Shot Put Circle

The shot put circle, where the throwing magic happens, has a very specific size! It's a diameter of 2.135 meters, or about 7 feet. Think of it as a personal throwing zone, perfectly sized for unleashing your shot put prowess.

Here's a peek at the circle's key measurements:

Diameter: 2.135 meters (7 feet)
Radius: 1.0675 meters (3.5 feet)
Area: 3.616 square meters (38.9 square feet)

But wait, there's more! To ensure fair competition and prevent sneaky footwork, there are some additional lines and markings within the circle:

Foot Fault lines: These are two short lines drawn across the diameter of the circle, dividing it into equal halves. Stepping on or beyond these lines during the throw results in a foul.
Toeing board: This is a small rectangular metal plate embedded at the front of the circle. Throwers place their toes against the board for stability and power during the throw.
Stop Board: The shot put stop board is made from multi layer laminated wood. It is designed in the shape of an arc, which aligns with the inner edge of the shot put ring. It can be fixed to the ground with screws easily. It is painted in white colour.
